Kevin L. Cooper Scholarship

Scholarship Eligibility


Kevin L. Cooper Foundation is offering a $500.00 scholarship to a graduating high school senior who has loss a loved one to violence in Baltimore City. All applications must be submitted by no later than May 29, 2021. The recipient of the scholarship must meet the qualifications listed below. Emphasis will also be placed on the applicant’s response to the essay question. For additional information, please contact Greta Willis 410-900-3311.

 APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:​

1. Applicants must have loss an immediate family member (mother,

father, sister, brother, child, guardian) of their family to homicide;

2. The crime must have occurred in Baltimore City;

3. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0;

4. Applicants must have verification that they have been accepted into an accredited institution of higher learning. The scholarship will be paid directly to the school.

5. The recipient of the scholarship must begin classes no later than the spring semester of 2018.

Kevin L. Cooper Foundation is offering a $100.00 Achievement Scholarship to a graduating high school student of the Youth In Transitional School.

Our scholarship winners are known as KLCooper Achievers. 

QUALITIES:

1. Applicants must have loss an immediate family member (mother,

father, sister, brother, child, guardian) of their family to homicide;

2. The crime must have occurred in Baltimore City;

3. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0;

4. Applicants must have verification that they have been accepted into an accredited institution of higher learning. The scholarship will be paid directly to the school.

5. The recipient of the scholarship must begin classes no later than the spring semester of 2018.
